Cupcake Challenge 55

Hello everyone, its that time of the week again and we have a recipe theme for Cupcake Challenge 55 where you have to use 3 buttons, 2 papers and 1 ribbon. This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Quixotic Paperie and you have the chance to win a £10 voucher.

For my card I have used a gorgeous girl image that I received from a blog bud and she is coloured with distress inks. The scrummy papers are from Pebbles inc, it is a double sided sheet so it matches up perfectly! The buttons and ribbon are from my stash and I have used my MS doily lace punch for the border.

Finally, the usual close up!

Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, walnut stain, worn lipstick, broken china, weathered wood, black soot. Inkssentials pen for highlights

Stamptacular Challenge 22

Here we are at Stamptacular Challenge 22 where we have a theme of scallop mania, which means you have to use some scallops on your card or project. This week we are sponsored by Hobby Compleet De Duif who are offering a fantastic prize of a magnolia stamp and some flowers.

For my DT card I used an image that I received in a swap with a blog bud and I coloured it with distress inks. I made a new home card for a change as I thought the birds nest image was perfect for it! The papers are from K & Co and I kept the layout simple as the papers have some nice corner details that I didn't want to cover up. For my scallops I have used my scalloped circle nestie to layer the image onto.

Finally, a closer look at my image.

The rest fo the DT have made some fabulous creations as usual, so hop on over and join in with the fun.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Pink and white card, K & Co - Sparkly sweet
Stamps: Great Impressions - Birds Nest
Colouring: Distress inks - weathered wood, vinatge photo, walnut stain, spiced marmalade, fired brick, peeled paint, broken china
Embellishments: Poppicrafts flower and ribbon, PM pearl brad.
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, leone em branch punch, water brush

Sweet FF Baby Girl

Hello everyone, I made this new baby card a couple of weeks ago and forgot to put it on my blog, so I have had a hunt around and found that it covers three challenges; Cute Card Thursday Challenge 75 where the theme is new beginnings, ABC...C is for circles and finally, this weeks Stamp Something Challenge where you have to use an animal.

For my card I have used a cute FF image that I had in my stash and it is coloured with distress inks. The papers are from pebbles inc and the ribbon, flower and pearls are from my stash.

I made this card before I said I was going to stop photographing the insides unless they had an image on them, but as I'd taken the photo, I thought I'd just show it anyway!!! The sentiment has been computer generated using the font lucinda handwriting.

Finally, a close up

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and pink card, Pebbles inc
Stamps: Forever friends
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, tattered rose, weathered wood, worn lipstick and fired brick
Embellishments: Ribbon, flower, pearls
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, leone em branch punch, water brush

Cupcake Challenge 54 & Blog Hop Candy Winner

The challenge this week over on Cupcake is to make a shaped card that is anything but square! I have a stash of stamped images and some of them never see the light of day, so I had a search and found this funky penny black zebra image and I thought he was perfect for the card.

With the image being a zebra, of course I had to go for a black and white look, but decided to add a splash of hot pink to liven it up a little. I used my circle and scalloped circle nesties to create my card base and layers - the base layer is actually black, but it doesn't show up too well against my black backdrop! I used ribbon and jewels from my stash as embellishments.

The rest of the DT have made some fab cards again this week, so make sure you check out the challenge!

Supplies
Card/Paper: White, black and pink card
Stamps: Penny Black
Colouring: Distress inks - black soot, peeled paint, vintage photo, weathered wood
Embellishments: Ribbon, jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, swiss dots folder, water brush

This card is for four challenges, firstly I used the sketch from Just Magnolia Challenge 19, ABC's theme is B for buttons, Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 65 has a theme of travel and finally Cute Card Thursday Challenge 74 has a lazy days summer theme.

For my card I used a cute Tilda Stamp from the Magnolia Lazy Summer Days Collection and she is coloured with distress inks and highlighted with my insenntials pen...yes I remembered to do it this time! The papers are from pebbles inc and I used my paisley folder for the embossing. The flower, pearls, button and ribbon are all from my stash.

I have decorated the inside, but it isn't anything special so I haven't shown it.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and pink card, Pebbles inc
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda with Bike

Stamptacular Challenge 21

Hello everyone, for Stamptacular Challenge 21 we have a theme of 3D where you must make a card that is three dimensional and our very own Nikki is sponsoring us with a fantastic prize this week of some SU goodies. Well, what a job I had with this card, I decided that as I always just do a basic fold I would do something a little different this week..... but I couldn't decide what to do!!!!! I finally came across a tutorial here on splitcoast stampers for this fold and then the rest was easy.

It was so fun to put together and after tearing my hair out, the card was really fun to do in the end! I have used a penny black image that I received from a blog bud and it is coloured with distress inks. I used some nice, fresh looking green gingham DP which is a download and a piece of ribbon as an embellishment. Also, you can't see it too well in the photo, but the bit that pops the card up is embossed with my swiss dots folder.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and green card, DP is a download
Stamps: Penny Black
Colouring: Distress inks - antique linen, spiced marmalade, tattered rose, vintage photo, peeled paint
Embellishments: Ribbon
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, swiss dots folder, waterbrush

Christmas in August

Hello everyone, I have finally made another christmas card....a few weeks ago I vowed to make one each week and of course I haven't done it, but a few challenge blogs have had christmas themes recently so it has jump started me once again. For my card I used the fabulous sketch from WOJ challenge 44 and I am also entering into the following challenges that all have a christmas theme - Simon Says Stamp, Creative Card Crew Challenge 24 and Dutch Dare Challenge 58.

For my card I have used the very beautiful Willow with lantern stamp from WOJ and she is coloured with distress inks and highlighted with stickles. I wasn't sure about the red dress but I quite like how it turned out in the end. The papers are basic grey and the ribbon and jewels are from my stash.

I have decorated the inside, although I haven't photographed it. I am only going to show the insides from now on when I have images in them as it is getting too boring for you I'm sure!!!!

Finally, a close up of my colouring.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and green card, Basic Grey - Wassail
Stamps: WOJ - Willow with Lantern
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, vintage photo, fired brick, peeled paint, weathered wood, black soot, spiced marmalade
Embellishments: jewels, ribbon, stickles

Tilda on a Bookmark

Hello everyone, well I have finally got around to making something and for once it is something for me!!! I have been meaning to make a book mark for ages and I have finally got around to doing so. I'm entering it into this weeks Simon Says Challenge where the theme is anything but a card, Stamp Something which has a theme of summer vacation and Secret Crafter Challenge 45 where the theme is fancy corners.

For my bookmark I have used the very cute Tilda with Ice Cream and it is available to buy from Magnolia. I have coloured her with distress inks and added some stickles to the top of her lolly! The papers are from K & Co and the ribbon and jewel from my stash. I kept wanting to add extra embellies, but then realized they would get crushed in a book so I kept it simple...and flat!!!

How it fits the challenges.... its a bookmark so it obvious for Simon Says, the summer vacation theme of Stamp Something is covered by the stamp, summery colours and also I love to read in my free time and finally for the fancy corners theme of Secret Crafter.... well I have rounded off my corners, but I realize that this could be pushing it so I understand if it doesn't count!!!

Finally, a close up..... looks a bit of an odd angle......sorry! lol!!!

Supplies

Card/Paper: White and pink card, K & Co Sparkly Sweet
Stamps: Magnolia - Lazy Summer Days Collection
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, worn lipstick, vintage photo, spiced marmalade, faded jeans, weathered wood, black soot broken china. Inkssentials pen for highlights
Embellishments: Ribbon, jewel, stickles
Tools: Corner rounder punch, water brush

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 72 & ABC...A

Morning everyone, this card is for Cute Card Thursday Challenge 72 where they have a colour combo of teal and red to follow. I don't often do colour combos and when I first saw this one I thought no, I have nothing that could be described as teal..... or so I thought.... when doing yesterdays card I was looking through a box of A5 card from the paper mill that Jeff's Mum very kindly gave me and low and behold I found a couple of teal coloured pieces.... so I just had to use them! So after saying I rarely do smaller cards, I have two on the trot! I will certainly be doing some more of them as I really like the simplicity. I am also entering this card into the ABC Challenge where the theme is anything goes.

For my card I used a sugar nellie daisy image that I got from a blog bud and she is coloured with distress inks. I ran half the white card through my cuttlebug, embossing it with the swiss dots folder and the red DP is from Pebbles inc. To keep with the whole spots theme, I used some red and white polka dot ribbon from my stash. This is a really simple card but I really love how it has turned out!

Finally a close up of Daisy, and I have just realized I have forgot to use my inkssentials pen for the highlights! Oh well.... never mind!

Supplies
Card/Paper: Teal and white card, pebbles inc
Stamps: Sugar Nellie - Daisy
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, vintage photo, peeled paint, spiced marmalade, fired brick, weathered wood, broken china
Embellishments: Ribbon, jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, swiss dots folder, water brush, corner rounder punch

Delicious Diva Challenge 1 & SFOS Challenge 63

Hello everyone.... for the second time today! I have made a rectangular card for a change..... really living on the edge!!!! I don't often do them, but I really enjoyed making this one, it was nice and quick! I am entering it into a new challenge called Delicious Divas where there is a fabulous sketch to follow. I have to say that this is my second attempt at the sketch, for my first one I got carried away a little and deviated from the sketch a bit too much!!!! lol!! I'm also entering this card into SFOS Challenge 63 where you have to use flowers.

For my card I have used a very sweet Magnolia image from the Lazy Summer Days Collection. I have coloured her with distress inks and highlighted with my inkssentials pen. The lush DP was a gift from my boyfriends Mum but I don't know the make (sorry!) the ribbon, pearls and brad are from my stash and the flower was left over from my Magnolia DT kit.

Finally, a close up of my image.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Pink and white card, DP from stash
Stamps: Magnolia - Summer Tilda - Lazy Summer Days Collection
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, worn lipstick, vintage photo, weathered wood
Embellishments: Ribbon, flower, pearls, jewel brad
Tools: Leone em branch punch, water brush

Cupcake Challenge 52 & Stamp with fun Challenge 19

Morning everyone, the weather is a bit cooler here today...thankfully.... it gives me a little respite from the heat! This is my DT card for Cupcake Challenge 52 where Tammy has done a fabulous sketch for us to follow with the added twist of using the colour theme too. I'm also entering this card into Stamp with Fun Challenge 19 where the theme is birthday.

For my DT card I have used a cute hanglar image that was sent to me by a blog bud and I have coloured it with distress inks. The papers are from K & Co.... I bought this pad a while ago and I struggled to use it as some of the papers are a bit dark for my liking, however when I saw the colour combo the pad had the ideal papers and I quite like how the card turned out!

The inside is very simple, I did have another plan for it.... however I ended up layering some paper completely wonky and I ruined it when I tried to put it right..... I thought I'd better quit while I was ahead (and before I had a total paddy!) so this is what I ended up with!

Finally, a close up of the image

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and blue card, K & Co - Roam
Stamps: Hanglar - girl with braids
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, worn lipstick, walnut stain, antique linen, faded jeans, vintage photo, weathered wood, black soot
Embellishments: Ribbon, jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, water brush

The rest of the DT have done some fabulous cards this week and we are all building up for a whopper next week as it is Cupcake's first birthday and we have lots of fab prizes and candy!

Stamptacular Challenge 19

Morning all, this week for Stamptacular Challenge 19 we have a theme of 3-2-1 where you have to use 3 brads, 2 patterned papers and 1 flower. We also have our very own Janneke sponsoring us with a fabulous prize this week, so check out the blog and join in.

For my DT card I have used a Magnolia image that I received from a blog bud and it is coloured with distress inks and the water is highlighted with stickles. The papers and glazed brads are basic grey and the flowers, ribbon and charm are all from my stash.

I have decorated the inside too with the same basic grey DPs and the sentiment is from WOJ.

You may notice that two of the pictures look like they have different lighting (the front of my card and the close up below).... well stupidly I took them at different times to the others. I have retaken them and tried to sort the problem out, but photobucket is playing up and it still seems to have the old images. If two of the images disappear later on, I will pop back and add them again!

Finally, a close up!

Supplies
Card/Paper: White, black and pink card. Basic grey - Sugared
Stamps: Magnolia and WOJ - sentiment
Colouring: Distress inks - peeled paint, worn lipstick, tattered rose, vintage photo, walnut stain, broken china, weathered wood. Inkssentials pen for highlights
Embellishments: Basic grey brads, ribbon, flowers, charm
Tools: water brush

Thanks for looking x

The rest of the DT have made some fabulous cards, so make sure you check them out.
