Cupcake Challenge 170

Hello everyone, today on Cupcake Challenge 170 we have a theme of colouring on kraft, it was a great challenge for me as I had never coloured on kraft before and it was something I had wanted to try for a while! This week we are sponsored once again by Crafty Emma's Store who are giving us the prize of a £10 gift certificate. I am also entering this card into the following challenges; Stamptacular Challenge 140 where the theme is anything christmas, and this week's Papertake Challenge has a festive theme.

For my card I have used the NOEL stamp from the Magnolia So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe Collection 2009 and I have coloured it with copics and embellished with red stickles. I made the background DP, first I sponged it with antique linen distress ink then I randomly stamped one of the holly stamps from the WMS very vintage christmas set. Finally I finished off with some gold ribbon from my stash.

Our icing on the cupcake is sponsored by Crafts U Love this month and they are giving us a prize of a £15 gift certificate, all you have to do is join in with one of our challenges to be in with a chance to win.

A Holly Wreath For You

Hello everyone, here is another christmas card I have made with my new waltzingmouse stamps. It is a simple card that I really enjoyed making and it is for another of the WM Christmas Card Challenges.

I used stamps from the waltzingmouse very vintage christmas set and firstly I selected a circle nestie and drew around it (faintly) onto my card to give me a guide. I then used the holly leaves stamps and stamped them in a circular design, I also stamped several others onto some spare card. I coloured my holly and berries using copics and I cut out the extra ones that I stamped and added them to my wreath for a bit of dimension. I stamped the "for you" sentiment in the centre and finally I finished off with some glossy accents on my berries and a large double bow.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and red card
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - very vintage christmas
Colouring: Copics
Embellishments: Ribbon, glossy accents
Tools: Bow easy, corner punch

A Merry Christmas to You

Hello everyone, I have made three really easy cards today and I really love how they have turned out. I feel like I am starting to get somewhere with christmas cards, but I have still got loads to make.....some CAS ones I think!!

I have followed the theme for month 3 of the Waltzingmouse christmas card challenge which is kraft, red plus white or cream. I went with cream for my base colour and I distressed it with antique linen distress ink and stamped two of the snowflakes from the very vintage christmas set at random. I then stamped my label out twice, once in red and the other in black and from the red one I cut out the merry christmas and mounted it with foam pads onto the black one. I then layered the whole thing onto a scalloped circle cut from kraft cardstock. I stitched around the edge and added ribbon to finish.

My final photo show all three cards I made with the same design.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Cream and kraft card.
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Very Vintage Christmas
Ink: Memento tuxedo black and fired brick distress ink
Embellishments: Ribbon
Tools: Sewing machine, trouvaille, nesties, TH blending tool

Waltzingmouse Challenge 73

Hello everyone, today I have two cards to show you that I have made with my new Waltzingmouse stamps, which I LOVE, and I have plans for more cards and tags using this set....so be warned!! I am entering this card into Waltzingmouse Challenge 73 and both cards are also makes for the Waltzingmouse Christmas Card Challenges over on their forum.

For my first card I have followed the sketch from the WM challenge. The DP is by basic grey and I layered it onto kraft cardstock. I distressed my cream card with antique linen then stamped the holly leaves using stamps from the WM very vintage christmas set. I stamped a sentiment from the same set then I used my MS score board to score two lines to define the sentiment. I finished off with dark green ribbon and a bell charm.

I had some scraps on my desk from the card above and I was desperate to make more use of this set, so once again I distressed my cream card with antique linen but this time I stamped the "ho ho ho" sentiment onto it. I stamped the sentiment again with memento tuxedo black and a small flourish from the same stamp set, then I cut it out with a nestie and finally I finished off with some dark green ribbon.

Finally, here is a pic of both cards together.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Cream, kraft card. Basic Grey - Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Very Vintage Christmas
Ink: Distress ink - antique linen. Memento - tuxedo black
Embellishments: Ribbon, bell charm
Tools: Sewing machine, trouvaille, nesties, MS score board

For my card I have done an easel design and I have used Tilda with Ice cream and Summer Tilda from the Magnolia Lazy Summer Days Collection 2009 and both are coloured with copics. The Dp is from echo park and the ribbon and jewels are from my stash.

The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse and I have stamped it on kraft (well the closest I can get to kraft!) cardstock. I really like this look as it makes the sentiment stand out.....def be doing it again!!

One final photo.....I love doing easel cards but I do find them difficult to photo!

Tilda with Cross Stitch Heart

Hello everyone, for my card today I have used some more stamps from the new Magnolia collection. I am entering this card into the following challenges; this week's Papertake has a theme of christmas, Simply Magnolia has a theme of anything goes, Stamptacular Sunday Challenge 138 has a theme of punch it, and Totally Tilda Challenge 35 has a christmas theme but no reds, greens or blues.

For my card I decided to go with a mainly white theme, the card base and the card I have used for my embossed panels are two different types hence the colour difference! I have used Tilda with Cross Stitch Heart from the Magnolia Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011 and I have coloured her with copics. I used my snowflakes folder and a craft concepts embossing folder called cottage floral. I used a MS PATP punch for tilda to sit on and some ribbon and jewels to finish off.

For the inside I used an ink blending tool and weathered wood distress ink to distress the edges then I stamped the Sweet Yuletide Christmas Hat with weathered wood distress ink.
