Tilda as a Clown

Hello everyone, today I have a CAS card to show you featuring Tilda as a Clown from the Magnolia Once Upon a Time Collection 2013. I am entering this card into the following challenges; Inky Chicks Challenge 5 has a theme of use a Magnolia Stamp, Creative Inspirations Challenge 216 has a theme of anything goes, and Creative Card Crew Challenge 37 where the theme is punches/dies.

For my card I have coloured Tilda with copics.....I coloured her with an array of colours so I made the image my main focus and kept the rest of the card simple. For the background I used my MS scoreboard to create a checked pattern, but you can't really see this too well in the photos!! I rounded off the corners with my corner chomper and finished off with some sewing and a ribbon.

My final shot!

Supplies
Card/Paper: Lilac and white card.
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda as a Clown - Once Upon a Time Collection 2013
Colouring: Copics

Cupcake Challenge 243

Hello everyone, over on Cupcake Challenge 243 we have a theme of lavender and lace and this week we are sponsored by Bugaboo Designs who are offering on lucky winner 7 digi images as a prize.

This week I received two gorgeous new stamps from Noor Design and as soon as I saw them I knew what I wanted to make.....my biggest problem was choosing which one to use!!! I coloured the rose in with copics and distressed the image with antique linen and vintage photo distress ink. I gave the same treatment to my DPs which are by Teresa Collins and I stitched around all the edges. Finally, I finished off with some pearl lace and two pearls on the top.

Here are some more detailed pictures for you. I love this image, I think it will be so versatile, it is pretty as a main image but it would also be fabulous as a postcard or tag embellishment for a card too.

Another....

And my final shot. The picture frame is 5 x 7 inches in case anyone was wondering!!

In the Garden

Hello everyone, today I have a card to show you featuring some new dies from Noor Design. I am entering my card into Tilda's Town Challenge 52, they have a theme of something old something new (old stamp, new dies).

I used the dies to create a scene and I experimented with a different style rather then my usual one! I used the bench and cut this out of kraft card stock, I then distressed it with vintage photo for a bit of definition. the grass die is also by Noor design and I used my copics to colour it in. Finally, the lamp post was cut out of white card and again, it was distressed with vintage photo ink. I used Summer Tilda from the Lazy Summer Days Collection 2009 and she is coloured with copics and my sentiment is from papermania.

For the inside I used the fence die, distressed it with vintage photo and added a bit of twine. I cut it out twice and I layered the bird and the bird box up with foam pads for a bit of dimension. On the other side I created a pocket and cut out and embossed two of the frame dies to make tags to write sentiments on.

A closer look at the fence.

...... and the pocket side!

And finally, an angled shot!

Card/Paper: White card. Tilda - Summer blues
Stamps: Magnolia & Papermania
Colouring: Copics

Cupcake Challenge 241

Hello everyone, today on Cupcake Challenge 241 we have a sketch (by me!) to follow. This week we are sponsored by My Creative Classroom and they are giving one lucky winner a seat in a class of their choice.

For my project this week I have made a bit of home decor.....this was actually a present I made for my Mum and I love how it turned out. I used my fav WMS Vintage Garden Flowers and I stamped the main image with Memento rich cocoa ink, then distressed it with antique linen and vintage photo ink.

The DPs are by Teresa Collins and each element also had the distress treatment before being stitched. I added some pearl lace from the ribbon girls and some pearls to finish off.

Finally a closer shot. The picture frame is 5 x 7 inches and my creation is 6 x 4 inches in case anyone was wondering about the dimensions!

Supplies
Card/Paper: White card. Teresa Collins - Sweet Afternoon
Stamps: WMS - Vintage Garden Flowers
Ink: Memento rich cocoa, antique linen, vintage photo
Embellishments: Lace, pearls
