Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop - August 2010

Hello everyone, its that time again, yes it is Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop and as children are preparing for a new term ahead I have decided to use Trinity who would be perfect for a back to school card. This month we have a theme of die cuts, nesties or punches so I pulled out my nesties for this one! You should have arrived here from Jak's Blog, if not head over to Rosette's Blog to start from the beginning.

So, for my card I have coloured Trinity with copics and as with all of Mo's images, she was a joy to colour. The DP is from my stash and I have used my circle and scalloped circle nesties for the die cut element. The white circle I then embossed with my swiss dots folder to carry the spotty theme through from the DP. I finally finished off with some ribbon and I coloured the jewels with a red copic to match the card.

Right, onward! The next stop on this month's hop is Cheryl's Blog where I know she has something delightful to share with you.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Black, white and red card, DP from my stash
Stamps: Mo's Digital Pencil - Trinity

Cupcake Challenge 102

Hello everyone, on Cupcake Challenge 102 we have a theme of distressing and this week we are sponsored by our regular sponsor Simon Says Stamp who are giving us a prize of a $20 gift voucher + free shipping. I am also entering my card into this week's Papertake Challenge where they have a fab sketch to follow.

Well, distressing is a nightmare for me and although I can't bring myself to rip and rough up my papers, I can manage a bit of inking! Since I got my copics at christmas my distress inks have been thoroughtly neglected but I have dusted them off and used them to colour Tilda with Birdcage from the Magnolia Pet Collection 2009. My DP is from Basic grey and I have distressed each element with antique linen and edged with vintage photo. I really love how this card turned out.... I'll have to get my inks out a bit more!

Supplies
Card/Paper: Cream and pink card, Basic Grey - Sugared
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda with Birdcage - Pet Collection 2009
Colouring: Distress inks - antique linen, walnut stain, black soot, vintage photo, peeled paint, worn lipstick, tattered rose, faded jeans, weathered wood
Embellishments: Ribbon, pearls
Tools: Sewing machine
