Cupcake Challenge 131

Hello everyone, today over on Cupcake Challenge 131 we have a theme of anything but a square, so this week we would like to see alternative card shapes/projects that don't revolve around squares! For this challenge we are sponsored by Lili of the Valley who are giving us a £10 gift certificate as a prize and Tickled Pink Stamps are giving one lucky winner the choice of one rubber stamp or two digis!

This week I decided to make an alternative to a card and I made this cute treat pouch.....However, I am in the process of making a card to go with it which I will show you later on in the week! For my project I used paper from imaginisce and the image is willow with flower basket from WOJ, who is coloured with copics.

These pouches are perfect for a small treat or as a money/gift card holder. If anyone would like to know how I made it I did a tutorial a while ago HERE which explains each step.

Edit: I have added the link for the tutorial now!!!

This month our icing on the cupcake prize is sponsored by Crafts U Love who are giving us a £15 voucher as a prize, and all you have to do is enter at least one of our challenges this month to be in with a chance to win.

Cupcake Challenge 129

Hello everyone, once again I have been lacking in blogging and it has been due to the combination of non stop visitors and for the last week I have been unwell. I have caught a flu bug and it is really taking me a bit of time to shake it off. So once again for this week's Cupcake Challenge 129 I have gone with a clean and simple card..... so quick to make when you are pushed for time and aren't feeling up to it!! Our theme this week is hearts and we are sponsored by Lori Designs who are giving one lucky winner the fab prize of a $10 gift certificate.

For my card I have used some old valentine paper from my stash and I stitched around the edge with my machine. The stamps are from waltzing mouse and I cut out the shape with a spellbinders fancy tag die. Finally I finished off with some satin ribbon and a bow made with my bow easy.

This month our icing on the cupcake prize is sponsored by Crafts U Love who are giving us a £15 voucher as a prize, and all you have to do is enter at least one of our challenges this month to be in with a chance to win.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and red card, unknown DP
Stamps: Waltzing mouse
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, distress ink - fired brick
Embellishments: Ribbon
Tools: Cuttlebug, fancy tag die, sewing machine

So onto my card....I have used some lovely new stash for this one!!!

For my card I have used my new Waltzing Mouse Stamps, the Victorian Frippery set....love them!!! The card I have used is gorgeous pearlised card that has a lovely finish and I have simply embossed two panels and stamped the medalion stamp with memento tuxedo black ink and the inner circle has been stamped with fired brick distrss ink. I finished off with some lush satin ribbon. I love how this card turned out, it was so easy to make and looks really affective.
