Sunday Sketch & Stamp Ch 15 nad Creative Card Crew Ch 37

Hello everyone, today's card is for Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge 15 where they have a fabulous sketch this week and Creative Card Crew Challenge 37 where the theme is to use string. I was looking through my stash of stamped images and found this cutie, I have also just bought some MME Wild Asparagus DPs and I thought I'll make a card for a BOY! I don't usually make male cards unless I have to and I think all mine turn out drab, but this one came together easily and I really like how it turned out..... maybe I have turned a corner and come out of my male card making block!!!lol!!!

The cute little image is from Hanglar and I got it in a swap with a blog bud. He is coloured with distress inks and highlighted with my inkssentials pen. The DPs are MME and I have inked the edges of all the elements with distress ink. I also had a mental block when it came to distressing papers..... I still can't tear them or rough them up but I can now manage a bit of inking!!! lol! I think for this male card the inking really added a bit of depth and I'm pleased with the end result. The buttons, brads and twine are all from my stash and the ticket is from Tim Holtz.

My usual close up.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and grey card, MME - Wild Asparagus
Stamps: Hanglar
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, weathered wood, peeled paint, walnut stain, vintage photo, black soot, antique linen
Embellishments: Buttons, brads, twine, Tim Holtz ticket
Tools: Inkssentials ink applicator

Stamptacular Challenge 33

Hello everyone, today on Stamptacular Challenge 33 we have a theme of "Turkey Time" where you have to make a thanksgiving card and if you include a turkey, you get entered for the draw twice.

This week our sponsors are the fabulous Simon Says Stamp and the prize is a $25 gift certificate + free shipping.

As you can see, I have just made a simple thank you card for my interpretation of the challenge. We don't celebrate thanksgiving here like they do in the US so this is my version!

My sentiment is from WOJ and my DPs are from papermania. The ribbon and pearls are from my stash. Because this card is CAS I have used a 5 x 5" card blank again so there wouldn't be loads of open space!

Supplies
Card/Paper: Black, White and pink card. Papermania - Regency
Stamps: WOJ - General sayings set
Embellishments: Ribbon, pearls
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties

Sketch Saturday Challenge 76 & Papertake

Hello everyone, it is a glorious day here and I had problems taking my piccies this morning as the sun was so bright, but I think I got something decent in the end! For my card I have used the sketch from Sketch Saturday Challenge 76 and I am also entering it into this week's Papertake challenge which is to use something digi and sparkle.

I have used the beautiful bluebells image from sketching stamper and it is coloured with copics.... I know my bluebells are pink but hey ho! The sketch was actually to use an oval, but my oval nesties wouldn't fit the image, well the largest one would but it was massive so I gave that idea up. Instead I used my label one nesties to shape the ends of my rectangle and I'm really pleased with the result. My DP is from papermania and I used my MS doily lace punch for the borders. Finally, the bling and ribbon are from my stash.

Finally, my usual close up.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and dark green, PM - Regency
Stamps: Sketching Stamper Digi-Stamps - Bluebells
Colouring: Copics
Embellishments: Ribbon and jewels
Tools: MS doily lace punch
