Friday Sketchers Ch 63 & Simon Says Stamp

Afternoon ladies, this card is my second DT card for Magnolia and I have used a stamp from the very lovely Lazy Summer Days Collection. I have followed the sketch from Friday Sketchers Challenge 63 however I have rotated it..... just had to faff around! and this card is also for the Simon Says Challenge this week which is distressing.

I love this stamp of Tilda with Bike, I think it is one of my favs from this collection. I have coloured her with distress inks, as usual, and highlighted with my inkssentials pen. The papers and flowers came in my Magnolia DT kit and the ribbon is from poppicrafts. I have lightly distress the edges of the DP with fired brick and around the image in broken china to make the sky

Finally a close up of my image.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Card & Paper from Magnolia
Stamps: All Magnolia - Lazy Summer Days Collection
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, worn lipstick, vintage photo, walnut stain, fired brick, peeled paint, broken china, weathered wood, black soot.

Well, this is my second post of the day..... haven't done that in a while! and this is also my first Magnolia DT card. I received my DT kit at the end of last week and it has loads of lovely goodies in it. My sister is visiting at the moment so I haven't been able to do as much as I'd like, but I did manage this one card!

I have used a gorgeous Magnolia image from the new Lazy Summer Days Collection and they will be available to buy as individual stamps soon. I have coloured my image with distress inks and the papers are from Papermania. The flowers, ribbon and pearls came in my DT kit and the brad, charm and chain are from my stash.

Finally, a close up of my image.

Morning ladies, here we are at Cupcake Challenge 50 and this week we have a theme of pink, green, brown, animals and flowers which was set by the lovely Stephanie. We also have a fantastic sponsor this week - Soft Pencil who are offering the winner a $20 voucher to spend at their etsy store. They have some gorgeous digital images available so one winner is going to be spoilt for choice! I am also entering this card for Friday Sketchers week 62 as I have followed their sketch!

For my card I have used a house mouse image that I got from a blog bud and it is coloured with distress inks. The scrummy papers are from Papermania - Blueberry Hill. I have just got this pad (I know I'm a million years behind everyone else!) and all the papers are gorgeous.... I love them, definitely one of my new favs! The flower is from poppicrafts and the button and ribbon are from my stash.

For the inside I decorated with the same papers are the front and I added a recipe for a pink lily cocktail, I have never tried one but it sounds scrummy....hic!

Card/Paper: White and pink card, Papermania - Blueberry Hill
Stamps: House Mouse

Stamptacular Challenge 17

Sorry I haven't been around much this week, my sister and her boyfriend are staying with us, but I will catch up with my blog hopping next week! It is that time of the week once again and for Stamptacular Challenge 17 we have a theme of "inside out". We would like to see your creations where you have decorated the inside as well as the outside! Emma is sponsoring us again this week and the prize is a fabulous SU stamp set, so make sure you come and join in with the fun.

For my DT card I have used a house mouse image and it is coloured with distress inks. The image is fairly large so I have had to keep the layout very simple. The papers are from papermania and I have created the sentiment on my computer using the font lucinda handwriting.

As the image has a coffee theme, I decided to put a recipe for cappuccino profiteroles on the inside. Once again, this has been computer generated using the font lucionda hadwriting.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Cream and brown card, Papermania - Antique cream
Stamps: House Mouse
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, vintage photo, walnut stain, fired brick, broken china, antique linen, weathered wood, black soot
Embellishments: Ribbon, jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, water brush

Christmas in July

Please scroll down for my Stamptacular build a card post.

Hi Ladies, Firstly I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has congratulated me on my Magnolia DT place. Your kind words and support mean so much xox.

Onto my card... this week on Cupcake Challenge 49, Pops has set the theme of Chrismas. This card also fits with Cute Card Thurday Challenge 69 which also has a christmas theme and WOJ Challenge 39 where they would like to see some piercing. For my DT card I have used my Willow with Lantern stamp from WOJ and she is coloured with distress inks and I have added some red stickles to the holly for a bit of sparkle.

The papers are from DCWV the luxury stack (I think) and they have a beautiful sheen on them in real life. The pale blue panel also has a pattern on it similar to the darker one, but unfortunately it hasn't photographed very well! For a bit of added detail I have pierced the corner of the image, my MS doily lace punch has made another appearance and I finished off with some jewels. I am awaiting a MS snowflake punch (should arrive tomorrow with my sister) and I might add some sonwflakes to this card too, I like it but I think it may be a bit plain....not sure!!!

For the inside I have partially stamped willow and coloured her as per the image on the front. I have used the same DCWV papers and the sentiment is from studio g.

Finally a close up.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White, navy card, DCVW
Stamps: WOJ - Willow with Lantern, Studio g
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, tattered rose, broken china, worn lipstick, peeled paint, weathered wood, black soot.
Embellishments: jewels, red stickles, silver stickles
Tools: MS doily lace punch, needle, water brush

Stamptacular Bonus Fun - Build a Card

Hi girls! Glad you've made it to visit my blog and I hope you are having lots of fun! Please take a few minutes to look around...

On to your card! You have ribbon so why not add flowers? What's a card without flowers? Finished? Please head to Dee's blog and find out what you need to do now!

Stamptacular Challenge 16

Hi everyone! I must apologize for the lack of cards this week, we have been laying some tiles in our garden and we have been trying to get them finished before my sister arrives on Tuesday for a week. Stamptacular Challenge 16 has a theme of "Shapetacular Card" which means you need to make a card with an unusual shape eg. no square or rectangular cards. We also have Priscilla sponsoring us with a fabulous prize this week.

For my DT creation, I made an oval card, played it safe! The rest of the DT have made some outstanding cards so make sure you check them out. I used my scalloped oval and plain oval nesties for the shape and layers, and the paper is from papermania.

I used my Gorjuss Girl Sitting, coloured her with distress inks, cut her out and used foam pads to adhere her to the card. The embossing was done with my d'vine swirl folder and I finished of with three small jewels. I also made a small envelope for the card too.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and lilac card, Papermania - Amethyst Infusion
Stamps: Sugar Nellie - Gorjuss Girl Sitting
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, black soot, dusty concord
Embellishments: Jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, Nesties, d'vine swirl folder, water brush

Cupcake Challenge 48

Morning all, its time for Cupcake Challenge 48 and it is extra exciting for me this week as it was my turn to choose the theme and I chose "Blossoms and Butterflies" - nice and easy!

For my DT card I used a Magnolia image that I was sent by a blog bud and I have coloured her with distress inks. I coloured the lilacs pink (?!) to match in with the paper and I added some pink stickles to them so they really sparkle in real life. The papers are from K & Co - I just love them - they are so bold and colourful, this was a double sided sheet that I cut in half and turned over hence the two very bold patterns. I really like how it has turned out, it is not my usual thing but I'm definitely going to try and be more bold in the future!

I kept the inside nice and simple, I still have a bit more of these papers and I want to eek them out for another card as I like them so much!!! lol!

Finally a close up, you can see the sparkly flowers in this one!

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and pink card, K & Co Berry Sweet (I think)
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda with Lilacs
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, tattered rose, worn lipstick, spiced marmalade, weathered wood, peeled paint, black soot. Inkssentials pen for highlighting.
Embellishments: Ribbon, jewels, stickles
Tools: Water brush

Thanks for looking x

The rest of the DT have made some awesome creations, so please check out the challenge and join in. We have some exciting things planned for our first birthday which is coming soon and you wont want to miss it!

Stamptacular Challenge 15

Hi girls, this week on Stamptacular Challenge 15 we have a fab sketch to follow and a brilliant sponsor in Papirloftet. They provided each of the DT with a kit of lush goodies to use for our DT cards this week. As usual, the rest of the DT have made some beautiful cards, so please check them out.

For my card I have used paper from papermania, stamped the edges with a studio g swirl stamp and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I then distressed them with tattered rose distress ink.

For the vintage image I embossed it several times with clear embossing powder, popped it in the freezer for 10 minutes, then cracked it to give a shattered glass look. I also rubbed tattered rose ink into the cracks for a more aged feel, however it doesn't show up too well in the image.

The beautiful lace, flowers, brads and charm are all from Papirloftet

Supplies
Card/Paper: Papermania - Exquisite
Stamps: Studio G, Papirloftet
Embellishments: lace, brads, charm, flowers
Tools: heat tool, scissors to distress the edges.

Bright Red Ladybird Tilda

Hi girls, thankfully today it is cooler and it has rained.... I know to some of you this may seem a bit odd but we have been having temperatures in the mid/high 30s and I have been soooooo hot. I have been finding it very difficult to get the energy to do anything...... even craft!!!!

So, this afternoon I have finally managed to do make a card. It covers four challenges; firstly Just Magnolia Challenge 12 where the theme is charms, secondly Secret Crafter Challenge 39 where the theme is three ribbons.... I have actually used four so I hope it is ok!, Creative Card Crew Challenge 18 also has a theme of ribbons...handy!.. and finally, I have followed the fab sketch from this week's Sketch Saturday.

The gorgoeus Tilda image is from a blog bud and she is coloured with distress inks. The papers are pebbles ink and it is lush double sided paper, and I have used my d'vine swirl folder for the embossing. The flowers are primas, the charm, brad, spacer and cute little ladybird are all from my stash. I have just got a white inkssentials pen for highlighting and I'm working on the less is more philosophy until I get the hang of it.... I'm just dabbing it about at the moment, so you will have to bear with me!!! lol!!

The inside is nice and simple and, as you can see, the MS punch has made an appearance.... you were warned!!!! lol!! The sentiment was computer generated and behind it I have made a little pocket where money or a gift card can be added.

Finally, a close up of the very cute Tilda.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and red card, Pebbles inc
Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda with Ladybug
Colouring: Distress inks - black soot, fired brick, tattered rose, weathered wood, worn lipstick. Inkssentials pen for highlights
Embellishments: Primas, PM brad, spacer, charm, ladybird embellie
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, d'vine swirl folder, water brush, MS doily lace punch, leone em branch punch

Thanks for looking and I hope you are all having a great week. x

Cupcake Challenge 47

Well I thought this was going to be a sad day that marked the end of Cupcake Craft Challenges, but my DT mate Donna, has taken over the blog and Cupcake will continue...Yippeee!!!

For Challenge 47 Lisa has set the theme of black and white, which is one of my favourite colour combos and I made a sympathy card.... which incidentally I thought it was quite fitting with the blog coming to an end...but now it isn't! The papers are from dovecraft and the sentiment is computer generated. The flower and button are from my stash and I used my MS punch for the border..... just a word or warning, I just love this punch and you will be seeing it being used A LOT!!! lol!!!

As usual the rest of the DT have made some awesome creations, so make sure you check out their blogs too.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Black and white card, Dovecraft - hint of pink
Embellishments: Flower, button
Tools: MS doily lace punch, cuttlebug, nesties, leone em punch

Sugar Bowl Challenge 14

Hi girls, before I tell you about my card, I'll start off by saying that this is my first post with larger images so you may have to bear with me until I get the sizing sorted out! Here goes...

Over at the Sugar Bowl this week there is a fabulous sketch by Judy to follow with the added option of sparkle. I have made a new baby card and have added pale blue bling for my sparkle. The stamp is from Sugar Nellie (of course!) and he is coloured with distress inks. The papers are all from pebbles inc and I have used my trusty swiss dots folder for the embossing. My final embellishment was a button and some white satin ribbon.

I have kept the inside nice and simple, again using pebbles inc paper. The sentiment is computer generated using the font lucinda handwriting.

Finally a close up of my image. Well so far all the image sizes look ok, so fingers crossed for when I publish the post!

Supplies
Card/Paper: Blue and white card, pebbles inc
Stamps: Sugar Nellie - Dexter the Bear
Colouring: Distress inks - vinage photo, broken china
Embellishments: PM button, ribbon, jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, swiss dots folder, water brush

Stamptacular Challenge 14

Hi girls, I can't believe we are onto Stamptacular Challenge 14 already! This week our theme is "Christmas in July" so dust off your christmas stamps and DPs and pull out your punches and join in with the fun. We have a fab prize this week sponsored by the DigiStamp Boutique and the DT have done an awesome job as usual, so be sure to check out their blogs too.For my DT project this week, I have made a tag. Last year I was very short on tags as I left them all until the last minute, but I'm going to be prepared this year.... famous last words! Apologies for the bad photo, my camera just wasn't playing not sure what was wrong!

I'm planning to make several sets of tags using my PB 12 days of christmas set. The stamps are ideal as they are a perfect size for a gift tag and instead of starting at one.... I went right in there at 5!!! The stamp is coloured with distress inks and I have used gold stickles all around the ring and red stickles for the bling and the number on the sentiment. The papers are DCWV and my MS punch has finally arrived so I couldn't resist using it to make a border for the bottom.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Red and white card, DCWV - Christmas Wishes
Stamps: Penny Black 12 Days of Christmas
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, weathered wood, spiced marmalade, fired brick
Embellishments: Ribbon, brad, jewels, red and gold stickles
Tools: MS doily lace punch, cuttlebug, nesties, water brush.

Just Magnolia Week 11

Wow, I am so please I have finally finished this card. It was one of those cards that we all get from time to time, that just wouldn't go right! Everything I stuck down kept going wonky and I just couldn't settle on the square panel behind the image, this is the third one I tried and I'm finally happy with it! Then low and behold, I have just discovered I have missed the sentiment from the sketch.... what an idiot I can be... I understand girls if this one doesn't count.

The card is for Just Magnolia Week 11 where there is a fabulous sketch to follow by the uber talented Bev. The stamp has been coloured with distress inks and the paper is from papermania. The flowers are prima and the branches were punched with my leone em punch.... I just can't keep my hands off it!!!

The chocolate colour scheme was because on the inside I have put a recipe for chocolate chip muffins.

Finally, a close up of my colouring.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and brown card, Papermania - Antique Cream
Stamp: Magnolia - Love Muffin
Colouring: Distress inks - antique linen, worn lipstick, weathered wood, brown whispers pen
Embellishments: Primas, PM pearl brad, charm, pearls
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, leone em branch punch, spellbinders doodle parts, fiskars threading water punch, water brush.
