Pure Balm of Friendship

Hello everyone, today I have a bit of home decor to show you.....I have made this picture as a gift......a while ago my sister asked me to make a card for her to give to her friend (HERE) and her friend liked it so much she decided to frame it.....well I thought it was a great idea to make another one as a gift so here it is!! I am entering this into the following challenges; Stamptacular Challenge 181 has a theme of less is more, and   Totally Papercrafts Challenge 134 has a theme of use your favourite stamp.

The frame is just a cheap wooden frame that I painted with white matt paint and it measures 7 x 5 inches. The backing or mount is just a piece of plain white card then I cut card and DP to the relevant sizes so they fit evenly. I distressed each element with antique linen distress ink and edged each one with a little vintage photo. The DP is from Melissa Frances and the stamp is from WMS - Rescue Remedies Set. I finished off with some pearls, lace and ribbon all from the Ribbon Girl.

Finally, an arty photo! I'm really pleased with how this has turned out and I will be doing some more in the future.

I am due to have my baby on Friday so I will be absent for a while. I have several posts scheduled so hopefully blogger will do what he is supposed to but I am afraid I probably won't be commenting for a little while.....so see you all again soon. xx

Supplies
Card/Paper: White card. Melissa Frances - 5th Avenue
Stamps: WMS - Rescue Remedies
Ink: Distress inks - Antique Linen, Vintage Photo
Embellishments: Lace, ribbon, pearls.
Tools: Trouvaille, sewing machine, nesties

Little Monkey

Hello everyone, today I have a card to share with you that I have made for some challenges; Cute Card Thursday Challenge 232 has a theme of stitching, Secret Crafter Challenge 201 has a theme of animals, this weeks Simon Says Stamp Challenge has a theme of anything goes, I have followed the fab sketch at The Sugar Bowl Challenge 90 and Creative Inspirations Challenge 178 has a bingo theme (I have chosen the line Ribbon, Blue and Polka Dots).

I was asked to make this card for my Mum's friend's grandson and I instantly thought of using one of my SN stamps. I chose pirate monkey and I coloured him with copics. The DP is from Pebbles inc and because one of the layers has a star theme I thought I would keep that going throughout the card and I used a Magnolia DooHickey die for the border and star-shaped nesties to cut out my computer generated sentiment. I finished off with some ribbon and jewels.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and blue card. Pebbles Inc
Stamps: Sugar Nellie - Pirate Monkey
Colouring: Copics
Embellishments: Ribbon, jewels
Tools: Sewing machine, trouvaille, nesties, DooHickey die
