Snowflake Tildas

Hello everyone, today I have another card that covers three challenges; Just Magnolia has a monochrome theme this week, Simon Says Stamp has a sparkly theme, and finally Creative Card Crew Challenge 34 has a theme of snowflakes.

For my card I have used Tilda with Yulehat and Big Christmas Ornament from the Magnolia Christmas Collection 2008 and they are coloured with distress inks and hightlighted with loads of silver stickles to give some sparkle. The sentiment is from studio g and the papers and flowers are from my stash. It obviously doesn't show on here, but the paper is flocked and the snowflakes are so soft to the touch.... it broke my heart to cut the paper!!!

I have included another card in this post too as they are both very similar. On the second card the large present Tilda is sitting on is from the Magnolia Santa Collection 2008.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Blue and White card, DPs from stash
Stamps: Magnolia - Christmas & Santa Collections 2008
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, worn lipstick, weathered wood, broken china, walnut stain, vintage photo. inkssential pen for highlights
Embellishments: Flowers, charms, chain, stickles, PM pearl brads
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, snowflake folder, corner rounder punch, MS snowflake punch, Fiskars threading water punch, water brush

Papertake 26 & Magnolia-licious CAS

Hello again, not often I post twice in one day!! I needed to make a few quick and easy cards and the sketch this week over on Papertake was perfect for the job. Magnolia-licious are also doing a CAS blog hop so I am popping these cards in there too!

For my card I used Summer Tilda from the Magnolia Lazy Summer Days Collection and I have coloured her with copics.... I still need loads of practice but I'm starting to get the hang of them! The papers are from basic grey and I have used my swiss dots folder for the embossing. The ribbon and jewels are from my stash.

As you can see I have made four CAS cards. The pink one and the yellow one both follow the Papertake sketch and the other two are just simple layouts. I paper pieced the trousers on the yellow one (not sure if you can really tell on the photo), as I started off with the intentions of colouring them pale yellow but they turned into this awful bright yellow that hurt your eyes when you looked at it!!! lol!!! So I turned to trusty paper piecing to cover up my mess!! lol!

Finally a close up of my pink Tilda.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Pink (Basic Grey - Lemonade), Yellow (from my stash), Blue and Purple (PM)
Stamps: Magnolia - Summer Tilda - Lazy Summer Days Collection
Colouring: Copics, Silver gel pen for the buttons
Embellishments: Ribbon, Jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, swiss dots folder

Finally, a close up.

Hello everyone! I have returned from my holiday and I am now tring to get caught up with everything! I am in the middle of doing some blog hopping too so all you lovely ladies that I have neglected over the last few weeks, I will be visiting you soon!!! Sorry about the poor photos for this card, it is very windy outside and I was determined to get a card posted today so I had to take my pictures inside and the light wasn't so good! While I was in England I also bought some copics too and this is my very first card with them!!!!! and I woud have to pick and image that was predominently black wouldn't I!!!! Although I don't think it turned out too badly!

This card is for a few challenges and it is my first Magnolia DT card using stamps from the So Spooky Collection. I know I have just posted two challenge blog DT cards that had a halloween theme and I said I had no halloween stamps..... well my Magnolia DT kit arrived the day before I went on my holidays and I had already pre posted my other cards and I didn't have the time to make anything else. The challenges that this cards fits are; Just Magnolia Week 27 that has a theme of Bright and Zingy - hopefully the orange is bright enough, but if there is too much black and it doesn't count I understand, Copic Creations Challenge 14 that has a theme of colouring black, Magnolia Down Under Challenge 24, Creative Inspirations Challenge 32 and Roses on Paper Challenge 23 all have a theme of Halloween.

Supplies
Card/Paper: All in my Magnolia DT Kit

Stamptacular Challenge 29

Hello everyone, this is a scheduled post as I'm currently on my holidays. For Stamptacular Challenge 29 we have a Spooktacular theme, well in the UK we don't really make halloween cards in the same way as you do in the states, and consequently I have no halloween stamps, so I had to the best I could with what I had!!! This week we have two fabulous sponsors: Simon Says Stamp who are offering a $25 gift certificate and free shipping and Digital Stamp Oasis who are offering 5 digi images of the winners choice.

I have made a gift card/treat holder and I have coloured my gorjuss girl image with distress inks and cut her out so she is sitting on the ribon. The papers are from my stash and I'm not sure of the brand.

This shows the inside. There is a little pocket at the bottom to slip in some treats and a white panel in the top section to write a greeting. The holder can stay closed on its own, or you can do as I have and incorporated a ribbon into my design so it can be tied closed.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Black and white card, Paper from my stash
Stamps: Sugar nellie - gorjuss girl
Colouring: Distress inks - black soot, tattered rose, spiced marmalade, weathered wood
Embellishments: Ribbon
Tools: Water brush

Cupcake Challenge 61

Hello everyone, this is another scheduled post for while I'm away, so hopefully it has worked and you will be able to see it! Cupcake Challenge 61 has a theme of buttons and stitching and this week we are sponsored by The Creative Cottage

This is one of the many christmas cards I have made to sell using my WOJ Willow with Lantern stamp. It is coloured with distress inks and highlighted with stickles. The papers are DCWV from the luxury stack (I think), not very christmasy, but I think they work well on a christmas card as they have a lovely feel. For my button and stiching element I have pleated my ribbon and sewed it in place, then hand stitched my button on. I have used a cuttlebug die for the large snowflake and my MS punch for the smaller ones, with a brad and spacer in the centre of each.

Finally, the usual close up.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Black and white card, DCWV - Luxury stack
Stamps: WOJ - Willow with Lantern, Sentiment - Studio G
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, vintage photo, black soot, fired brick, peeled paint, spiced marmalade
Embellishments: Stickles, ribbon, button, brads, spacers
Tools: Nesties, cuttlebug, snowflake die, MS snowflake punch, water brush

As you can see I have used Betty Boop and she is coloured with distress inks. The paper is from my stash (sorry I don't know the make) as is the red and black polka dot ribbon. I used my MS doily lace punch for some detail and I have added stickles to all of the stars around the image.

Hello everyone, this is just another quick post..... one of the endless christmas cards that I'm making fits the bill for two challenges. I have followed the fabulous sketch from WOJ challenge 50 and I'm also entering this card into the SSS challenge which has a colour combo of red and green.

I have used the very lovely Willow with Lantern from WOJ and I have coloured her with distress inks. I used the out of bounds nestie trick to get her dress flowing out of the edge of the oval and I think it gives a lovely effect. The papers are basic grey and all the embellies are from my stash.

Finally, a close up of the image.
