Ho Ho Ho
Hello everyone, just a quick post from me today with a last minute make. I needed a few extra gift tags, as you do, and this is just a quick one I put together.
I used a scrap of DP and I have no idea of the brand, sorry! All the other elements were also made using scraps of card or recycled items..... its a great way to use up all your odds and ends. The tulle was wrapped around a box of chocolates I received as a gift from a student, it looked so pretty and I managed to rescue some that wasn't creased or crumpled by the bow, just enough to make a couple of tags! The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse very vintage christmas and it is stamped in fired brick distress ink, I then cut it with a nestie and sponged it with spun sugar distress ink while it was still in the die, love this look! I then popped everything together and added a couple of bells from my stash and hey presto, a cute tag!
This is probably my last post before christmas, so I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. xx
Supplies
Card/Paper: Red and white card. DP - ??
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - very vintage christmas
Ink: Distress inks - fired brick, spun sugar
Embellishments: Tulle, bells
Tools: Sewing machine, trouvaille, nesties, ranger blending tool, corner rounder punch

Christmas Crackers
Hello everyone, today I have a Christmas cracker to show you. I've wanted to have a go at making a cracker for a while so I eventually got my finger out and made one! The one I have done is fairly large and more suitable as packaging for a gift rather than pulling! I am going to enter this into the following challenges; Totally Gorjuss challenge 111 has a theme of "for someone special"...this little gift will be included with my husband's presents, and this week at Papertake they want to see your last christmas makes....I'm well and truly getting to the end of it all now!
The tutorial I used is here, it was really easy to follow and it gives you all the measurements etc. I used DP from DCWV, my DP is quite stury so I didn't put in the extra supports like the tutorial suggests. I also adapted the tutorial a little, I cut a window in the top and added some acetate so you could see the contents of my cracker, but obviously, this is optional.
I embellished my cracker with ribbon and added a sentiment using my Waltzingmouse Very Vintage Christmas Stamp set.
Supplies
Card/Paper: Cream and kraft card. DCWV
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Very Vintage Christmas
Ink: Distress ink - antique linen, Memento tuxedo black
Embellishments: Ribbon
Tools: Nesties, trouvaille

Snowflakes
Hello everyone, today I have made two CAS cards that are my last christmas cards that I need to post....only a couple more to make to hand out! I am entering them for this week's Less is More challenge which is a one layer card with a theme of snow, Creative Inspirations Challenge 141 has a theme of snow, this week's winter wonderland challenge has a theme of snow, and one layer is also the theme for the WMS December Christmas card Challenge.
I think black and white always looks so elegant and I am really pleased with how these cards turned out.....so quick to make too! I used stamps from the WMS very vintage christmas set....the two larger snowflakes were stamped using one of the individual snowflake legs that are in the set. To finish off I added a bit of bling to the centre of each snowflake....and that's it!
Here is a final pic of the two cards together.

TOMIC Challenge 28
Hello everyone, I'm back with my second post for today. This one is for TOMIC Challenge 28 where we have a theme of christmas decorations and we would like to see you create your own decoration to hang in your home or on your tree! As usual, Magnolia are giving one lucky winner a fabulous surprise prize, so what are you waiting for......
I created a decoration for my tree..... I used Ribbon Tilda from the Magnolia Sweet Christmas Dreams collection 2011 and she is coloured with copics. I cut out a circle with my nesties and I embossed it with my snowflake folder, to add some dimension I created a frame with my nesties and added this to my embossed circle. Cupcake Challenge 172
Hello everyone, today on Cupcake Challenge 172 we have a theme of don't look at the light which means we would like to see lots of sparkles on your card/project. This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Saturated Canary and Krista has very kindly given the DT some images to work with. I am also entering this card into Cute Card Thursday Challenge 194 where the theme is anything goes.
For my card I have used peace and love hipster from Saturated Canary and she is coloured with copics and accented with stickles. The DP is from DCWV and it is all sparkly and glittery, but unfortunately it doesn't show that well on my picture....typical! I kept this card simple.....I faffed around for ages trying to find some more DP to match my base so I could create some layers, but I wasn't happy with any of them and I think it was because the base layer is so pretty I didn't want to cover it up! So simple it is and I finished off with some ribbon and a waltzingmouse sentiment that I stamped on kraft cardstock.
Also our icing on the cupcake sponsor this month is Polka Doodles and they have given us the fab prize of a CD collection. To be in with a chance of winning, all you need to do is join in with one of our challenges.
Supplies
Card/Paper: Blue, white, pink and kraft card. DCWV - pocket full of posies
Stamps: Saturated canary - Peace and love hipster
Colouring: Copics - sorry I didn't note down the colours for this one.
Embellishments: Ribbon, jewels, stickles

Seasons Greetings
Hello everyone, I have a couple of cards to show you today, and yippee!! only a few more christmas cards to go! I am entering my cards into the following challenges: Creative Card Crew has a theme of tis the season, Papertake has a theme of anything goes, Simon Says has a photo inspiration - I have chosen the image with the poinsettia, and finally Stamptacular Challenge 142 has a theme of christmas glitz.
The first one is made using stamps from my Waltzingmouse very vintage christmas set..... I cut out a circle with a nestie, while is was still in the die I sponged the card with antique linen distress ink then stamped some snowflakes, finally I stamped my sentiment with memento tuxedo black ink. The DP is from basic grey and I made the poinsettia using marianne creatables dies..... I cut the first layer of my flower from red card then I sponged it with fired brick distress ink while it was still in the die, I repeated it again with red then once again with green card. I then shaped each of the layers using a ball tool and a mouse mat and then I glued them all together. The centre was cut with black card, shaped and popped in the middle. Finally, I added some swirls cut from a marianne creatables die, some ribbon and jewels.
For my second card I used the same layout.....I worked well with my first one so I thought why not!!! I used a frame from my Waltzingmouse vintage labels four set, stamped it with memento then coloured it using a copic marker, finally I used a sentiment from the very vintage christmas set. I made the spirelli using bakers twine and a scalloped circle, and I added a button and a heart shaped jewel to the centre. I finished off with some die cut swirls, ribbon and jewels.
Finally, I have a bit of a toot....one of my jewellery sets made it onto the front page of Etsy yesterday, I was so chuffed!!

Hello everyone, here is another christmas card I have made with my new waltzingmouse stamps. It is a simple card that I really enjoyed making and it is for another of the WM Christmas Card Challenges.
I used stamps from the waltzingmouse very vintage christmas set and firstly I selected a circle nestie and drew around it (faintly) onto my card to give me a guide. I then used the holly leaves stamps and stamped them in a circular design, I also stamped several others onto some spare card. I coloured my holly and berries using copics and I cut out the extra ones that I stamped and added them to my wreath for a bit of dimension. I stamped the "for you" sentiment in the centre and finally I finished off with some glossy accents on my berries and a large double bow.

A Merry Christmas to You
Hello everyone, I have made three really easy cards today and I really love how they have turned out. I feel like I am starting to get somewhere with christmas cards, but I have still got loads to make.....some CAS ones I think!!
I have followed the theme for month 3 of the Waltzingmouse christmas card challenge which is kraft, red plus white or cream. I went with cream for my base colour and I distressed it with antique linen distress ink and stamped two of the snowflakes from the very vintage christmas set at random. I then stamped my label out twice, once in red and the other in black and from the red one I cut out the merry christmas and mounted it with foam pads onto the black one. I then layered the whole thing onto a scalloped circle cut from kraft cardstock. I stitched around the edge and added ribbon to finish.
My final photo show all three cards I made with the same design.
Supplies
Card/Paper: Cream and kraft card.
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Very Vintage Christmas
Ink: Memento tuxedo black and fired brick distress ink
Embellishments: Ribbon
Tools: Sewing machine, trouvaille, nesties, TH blending tool

Waltzingmouse Challenge 73
Hello everyone, today I have two cards to show you that I have made with my new Waltzingmouse stamps, which I LOVE, and I have plans for more cards and tags using this set....so be warned!! I am entering this card into Waltzingmouse Challenge 73 and both cards are also makes for the Waltzingmouse Christmas Card Challenges over on their forum.
For my first card I have followed the sketch from the WM challenge. The DP is by basic grey and I layered it onto kraft cardstock. I distressed my cream card with antique linen then stamped the holly leaves using stamps from the WM very vintage christmas set. I stamped a sentiment from the same set then I used my MS score board to score two lines to define the sentiment. I finished off with dark green ribbon and a bell charm.
I had some scraps on my desk from the card above and I was desperate to make more use of this set, so once again I distressed my cream card with antique linen but this time I stamped the "ho ho ho" sentiment onto it. I stamped the sentiment again with memento tuxedo black and a small flourish from the same stamp set, then I cut it out with a nestie and finally I finished off with some dark green ribbon.
Finally, here is a pic of both cards together.
Supplies
Card/Paper: Cream, kraft card. Basic Grey - Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Very Vintage Christmas
Ink: Distress ink - antique linen. Memento - tuxedo black
