Stamptacular Challenge 48 & a DT Call

Hello everyone, today over on Stamptacular Challenge 48 we have a theme of "Going back in Time" and we would like to see a card or project that looks vintage or includes something that reminds you of many years ago.

We have visitors at the moment and I haven't had the chance to make my DT card, so I am going to sit this one out. The rest of the DT have made some fabulous cards and they have provided lots of inspiration for you, so pop over and join in with the fun.

We also have a DT call out on the blog at the moment. We have come to the end of another 6 month term and need some new recruits! I have just copied the text below directly from the SSC blog:

We will be celebrating our FIRST YEAR Anniversary here at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge soon...So, what does that mean? It means...it's time for a DT call!

I have been so fortunate to have the PERFECT Design Team members to help me make our challenge blog just as fantastic as some of the others here on the internet. It's been a FANTASTIC journey so far...and with the support my DT and all our participants...life just doesn't get any better than this!

So having said that, it's time to start thinking about our future and adding to our team! Below are some requirements that each DT MUST fulfill in order to be a member of our team. If these are things you feel you are able to commit to, please follow the submission instructions so you can apply for a position on our team!

Want to be a part of the Stamptacular Design Team? As a DT member you will be required to:

* Submit a completed project weekly, via e-mail, following the challenge requirements, no later than midnight (EST) the THURSDAY before the challenge is posted to the blog! You will get ALL of the challenges in plenty of time to allow you to complete them before the due date!

* Take excellent quality photos of your completed projects.

* Post positive comments on ALL participants' blogs sometime during the week of the particular challenge they participate in. NO EXCEPTIONS! Comments MUST be specific to each entry! MUST be done before midnight (EST) Saturday before a new challenge is revealed on our challenge blog!

* SCHEDULE/POST your weekly challenge creations on your blog each week at 6:00AM Eastern Standard Time!

* Be an active DT member of our Sunday Challenge Blog, share with me any and all challenge ideas you may have and want to see as one of our blog challenges, and HOST challenges, if needed.

* Help to find sponsors willing to donate prizes for our challenges (this can be friends, companies or yourself)

* Be open and honest with me when you feel there's a problem or something needs to be addressed or anytime you just want to chit chat.

* ENJOY participating and being part of the Stamptacular DT!

ALL ACCEPTED DESIGN TEAM MEMBERS MUST AGREE TO AND FULFILL A SIX (6) MONTH COMMITMENT! (April 2010 through September 2010)

If the above sounds like something you would like to be a part of and you're interested in becoming a Design Team member for our Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Blog, PLEASE e-mail me 3-5 samples of your BEST work...at least ONE of your submissions MUST be something other than a greeting card and ALL submissions MUST contain stamping! No scrapbook layouts, please!

NOTE: be sure to put STAMPTACULAR DT CALL in the subject heading of your e-mail to be sure it doesn't get overlooked!

DO NOT POST A COMMENT HERE TELLING ME TO LOOK AT YOUR WORK ON YOUR BLOG...YOU MUST SEND AN E-MAIL WITH YOUR CHOICE OF 3-5 SUBMISSIONS OF YOUR BEST WORK IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED! You can, however, post on here and let me know that you would like to be considered to be a part of the team and have sent your e-mail.

Stamp with Fun Challenge 46

Hello everyone, this is just a quick post from me. We have my Mum coming over to stay with us tomorrow for 10 days so my blogging will be a bit hectic this next week! I couldn't resist using Dancing Willow once again for a card, I think she is my favourite from the Whiff of Joy City Girls Collection, and I have followed the fabulous sketch over on Stamp with Fun Challenge 46.

I have coloured willow with copics and my DPs are from basic grey. I like the retro feel to these papers and they remind me of a disco but now that I have finished the card, I'm not too sure if I like it! We all get cards like this from time to time!!! Anyway, the ticket is from Tim Holtz and the ribbon and jewels are from my stash.

Finally, my usual close up.

Hello everyone this card is for two challenges; Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 91 which has a theme of spring and ABC.....O which has a theme of one paper. This image is the digital image from Whimsy that was done for charity to help the people of Haiti - I think it is a beautiful image and for a fabulous cause.

As the image is so gorgeous I kept it quite large so it would dominate my card and coloured it with copics. My DP is from basic grey and the ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Pink and white card, Basic Grey - Sugared
Stamps: Whimsy - Wings of Hope

Cupcake Challenge 78

Hello everyone, today over on Cupcake Challenge 78 we have a theme of Keep it Simple and we are sponsored this week by Soft Pencil who are giving us a $20 voucher to spend in their store. I love simple cards and couldn't resist making a matching set for this week's challenge!

The stamps I have used are by Karen Lockhart and for this card I have used my swiss dots folder for the embossing and my inverted corner punch to shape the corners.

My DP is from basic grey and I managed to get these two cards made from one sheet of 6 x 6 paper. I used my Eskimo Kisses pad which I think is great as not all of the papers are christmasy - I think these two cards look quite spring-like!!!

Finally, a picture of them both together.

Stamptacular Challenge 46

Hello everyone, today over on Stamptaclar Challenge 46 we have a theme of sweet treat. We are sponsored once again this week by our very own Line and she has given us another fantastic hanglar stamp as a prize.

I have made a matching set of a little treat pouch and card. Yesterday, I posted a tutorial on the Whiff of Joy Stamps Tutorials & Inspirations Blog on how to make the treat pouch. It is very easy and perfect for little treats and gifts.

The stamp I have used is the mini version of Charlotte Kissing Pigeon from Whiff of Joy and it is coloured with copics. The DPs are from MME and I have used my scalloped edge punch and paisly embossing folder. I stitched around all the edges and finished off with some ribbon and a jewel.

My little treat pouch was made using 6 x 6 inch DP so it is only small. I kept embellies to a minimum and just used the same image again, cut it out with labels one nesties and added it to the treat pouch using foam pads.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Black and white card, MME - Bloom and grow
Stamps: Whiff of Joy - Charlotte Kissing Pigeon (mini stamp)
Colouring: Copics - E00, E51, R20, Y21, YR23, E33, W1, W3, W7, C1, C3, C5, R32, R35, R37, 0. Silver gel pen

Willow with Shopping Bags - Sneak Peek 3

Hello everyone, this is my third sneak peek of these gorgeous new Whiff of Joy stamps from the City Girls collection. I just love this shopping Willow stamp, she is a girl after my own heart! I have used the sketch from the current Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge and I am also entering it for ABC....N which has a theme of new - my new things are the stamp and DPs.

I have made a card and matching note pad set. I think they would be great as a little gift - a girl needs somewhere to write down things that she wants to buy!!!!!

For my card I have used the full size Willow with Shopping bags from Whiff of Joy - the City Girls collection is available to order from the 4th February. I have coloured her with copics and cut and layerd her with oval nesties. The DP is from Basic Grey, I just loved the retro look of these papers. The dark brown one is a really lush rich colour and I embossed it wth my d'vine swirl folder to pep it up a little but unfortunately you can't really see this in the picture. The ribbon, brad and pearls are from my stash and the cute charm is available from Whiff of Joy. I sewed around all the elements and I used a TH ticket as my sentiment.

I altered a little note pad that I picked up from the supermarket and the stamp I used for this is a mini one - these aren't available to buy but you get them free with orders over 50 euros and they are perfect for small projects. The DPs etc are the same as my card and I didn't add too many embellishments to the note pad as I didn't want to swamp it and I wanted it to be fairly hard wearing to withstand a handbag. The sentiment is computer generated and I cut the letters into small tiles so I could add them in a curve.

Finally, my usual close up.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Pink, brown and cream card. Basic Grey - Nook & Pantry
Stamps: Whiff of Joy - Willow with Shopping Bags
Colouring: Copics - E00, E51, R20, E33, E35, E37, E29, R35, E21, BG10, BG15, BG23, E47, E43, C1, C3, RV10, RV21, W1, W3, W7, 0
Embellishments: Ribbon, charm, PM brad, TH ticket, pearls
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, d'vine swirl folder, sewing machine, MS doily lace punch

Hello again! This is my second Whiff of Joy GDT card and it shows a very chic looking Willow from the new City Girls Collection. For my card I have used the sketch from Sketch Saturday Week 88.

Finally, a close up.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Black and white card, Dovecraft
Stamps: Whiff of Joy
Colouring: Copics - E00, E51, R20, R27, R29, R59, E43, E47, E49, C1, C3, C5, C7, W1, W3, W7, 0. Gold gel pen for her bracelets and my inkssentials pen for the highlights.

To finish, my usual close up.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Yellow and white card, Basic Grey - Lemonade
Stamps: Penny Black and Whiff of Joy
