Hello everyone, Cupcake Challenge 58 has a theme of distressing this week and I have to admit I'm not a big distresser, so I have gone for a minimal distressing look!!! I am also going to enter this into Secret Crafter Challenge 50 which has a theme of "one for the girls" and this week's Stamp Something Challenge which has a theme of your favourite colour or papers - my favourite colour is pink.
For my card I have used a cute penny black image that I found in my stack of stamped images and it has been coloured with distress inks. I have added some icicle stickles for the snow and they give a lovely bit of sparkle to the card. The papers are DCWV and I have distressed the edges with worn lipstick distress ink. I have used my snowflake folder for the embossing and my MS punch for the snowflake.
Supplies
Card/Paper: White and pink card, DCWV - Rose tinted christmas
Stamps: Penny Black
Colouring: Distress inks - antique linen, walnut stain, vintage photo, worn lipstick, broken china
Embellishments: Ribbon, brad, spacer, icicle stickles
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, snowflake embossing folder, MS snowflake punch
Thanks for looking x

ReplyDeleteHi Liza,
ReplyDeleteI just love your card it's wonderful. When I saw that the theme was distressing I looked and looked and looked and still couldn't find the distressing, your not the distressing type of lady I look at your cards daily and their too perfect to have distressing on them. I think there's a time and place for distressing especially on Vintage Cards. I'm not good at distressing and if I attempted it on a card looks like I've made a major mistake and I was trying to cover it up and there's some people that use it all the time.
I just love your card it's so pretty.
Take care
