Some of my Favourite Things!
Hi everyone, my crafting time has been cut short lately and I have been making some creations that I can't show you just yet, but I have managed to squeeze in this card for three challenges. Secret Crafter Challenge 24 is to use your favourite colour... now I love many colour combos like black and white for one, and I'm very fond of pink!! but I do love red also and I never use it enough on my cards so my favourite colour of the moment is red and I'm quite please with how this card turned out. The second challenge I'm entering it for is Stamp Something where the theme is spring and finally Charisma Cardz Challenge 12 which is favourite things and this is my favourite SK stamp.
The SK stamp has been coloured with distress inks and the papers are basic grey. I have kept the card nice and simple as I think the image and the papers are so pretty. I have embossed the centre panel and my only embellishments are the primas and jewels.
For the inside I have used the scraps of BG paper and I partially stamped the SK image and coloured it as per the front.
I have used a fiskars corner punch to add some detail to the corners. It also embosses, but unfortunately you can't really see it in the image.
The poem I found on the internet and it has been cut out with my scalloped circle nesties.
Supplies
Card/Paper: Red and white card, Basic Grey - Sugared
Stamp: Sarah Kay - Spring Blossoms
Colouring: Distress inks - fired brick, tattered rose, weathered wood, black soot, peeled paint, and walnut stain.
Embellishments: Primas, jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, border embossing folder - frills range, fiskars corner punch, scalloped scissors, water brush

WOJ Challenge 22 & Charisma Cards Challenge 11
I'm still running behind with things so this is another card for two challenges. The theme this week on Whiff of Joy Challenge 22 is green and I have used the sketch from Charisma Cardz Challenge 11.
I wasn't too happy with this card when I'd finished, but it is beginning to grow on me a little. I have used the cute mouse under party hat stamp from WOJ, he is coloured with distress inks and cut with label one nesties.
The papers are from K & Co and I have inked the edges with dusty concord . The sentiment stamp is from studio g, I have cut it out with oval nesties and it is attached using brads.
I also found (forgot I had them!!) a bag of little glass-like pebbles......are these dew drops??? Well whatever they are, I like them and they make a change to the little jewels I normally use.
Supplies:
Card/Paper: White and purple card, K & Co - Poppy
Stamp: WOJ - Mouse under party hat, Studio G
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, weathered wood, vintage photo, peeled paint and dusty concord
Embellishments: Ribbon, dew drops(???), primas, brads, charm
Tools: Cuttlebug, labels one nesties, scalloped oval nesties, water brush

2 Challenges and Exciting News!!
I have been decorating all day and I'm worn out, but I thought I'd just squeeze in a quick post to show you this card and to let you all know my news.
Firstly, the card...... I'll keep you all in suspense a little longer!!! This is for Cupcake Challenge 31 where the theme is brown and either pink, blue or green - obviously I went for the brown and blue option! and My Time to Craft Challenge 53 has a nature theme, so the bunnies cover that.
The penny black stamp is coloured with distress inks and because it is such a large stamp my actual card measures 13 x 19 cms....a bit larger than usual! The papers were received in some blog candy and the brown panel was trimmed with scalloped scissors and embossed with my swiss dots embossing folder. The ribbon is from my stash and the top of the pin is embossed with gold, although it looks brown in the picture.
The sentiment was computer generated and cut using my labels one nesties and the brown brad, button and ribbon are from my stash. I'm quite please with how this card turn out, whenever I use brown I always think my cards are a bit dull.... but I like this one!
And now for my news....I am a very proud DT member for Cupcake Craft Challenges. I was over the moon when I received the e-mail from Lauren and I can't wait to get started.
My 6 month term on the DT begins on the 6th April and Lauren has chosen a bunch of talented girls as fellow DT members. There will be loads of exciting challenges so I hope I will see some of you there.

Sugar Bowl Challenge 6
I made this card a couple of days ago and I'm just getting the chance to post it now. It is for the Sugar Bowl Challenge 6 and I'm not sure if I really like it or not...... can't decide (the card not the sugar bowl challenge blog!!!)
I received the cute SN image in some candy and she is coloured with distress inks. The papers are Laura Ashley and I have embossed the centre panel with my d'vine swirl embossing folder.
I sponged the centre panel with embossing ink and I clear embossed it to give it a bit of a shine. I punched the flowers with my retro flower punch and I randomly stamped them with a studio K flourish stamp then embossed them with gold. I added some ribbon to the bottom corner of the image and paper pierced the opposite corner for a bit of added detail.
I'm going to finish off another card I have started tonight so I will post again tomorrow..... and I also have some exciting news to share with you all.
Supplies
Card/paper: Cream and pink card, Laura Ashley
Stamp: Sugar nellie
Colouring: Distress ink - tattered rose, worn lipstick, peeled paint, weathered wood, walnut stain and vintage photo
Embellishments: Pearls, jewels, clear and gold embossing powders, american crafts ribbon
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, d'vine swirl embossing folder, heat gun, water brush, retro flower punch, needle, ball tool

A Lady Dancing
Well so much for me trying to catch up this week, I'm not sure where the days have gone to!!! This card is for four challenges as I'm so behind..... I have used the sketch from Penny Black Week 40, the theme this week on Stamp Something is green, Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 43 is to use Gems and finally this weeks ABC challenge is F for flowers.
The penny black stamp is from the 12 days of christmas clear set which I picked up for half price in January! She represents the 9 ladies dancing, but the handy thing about these stamps is that you can use the images all year round as they are not especially christmasy. I coloured the stamp with distress inks and have mounted it onto layers cut with nesties. The middle layer has been embossed with my swiss dots folder and i have doen a little doodling on the bottom layer. For a bit of added dimension the bottom and top layers have been raised up on foam pads.
Supplies:
Card/Paper: White and pink card, Dovecraft - retro flowers
Stamp: Penny black - 12 days of Christmas set
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, worn lipstick, vintage photo, walnut stain and weathered wood.
Embellishments: Jewels, ribbon, primas, pearl brads, spacer and charm
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, swiss dots embossing folder, water brush, small hole punch, scalloped scissors

Tulips in Spring
I have made another stamped images folder which, when it is filled with images, is a gift for someone. It covers two challenges; Cupcake Challenge 30 where the theme is spring and this week's Stamp Something where the theme is favourite somethings. The tulips fit the spring theme of cupcake while my favourite things are the colour pink and I love black and white cards so I have combined it all here!! and also as a card maker...stamped images are some of my favourite things!!!!
The penny black image has been coloured with distress inks and I have pierced the corners for a bit of added detail. The papers are from the dovecraft hint of pink range and the sentiment is computer generated using the font lucinda handwriting.
The inside and back are just simply decorated. The back, which I haven't taken a photo of, is covered in the same paper as the front, and the inside has different paper, but it is also from the hint of pink range.
Supplies:
Card/Paper: White, black and pink card, dovecraft hint of pink
Stamp: Penny black
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, worn lipstick, weathered wood, black soot, peeled paint
Embellishments: Jewels
Tools: Water brush, corner rounder punch, needle

Can You Get Yellow Poppies?
Oh well.... I'm not sure but my cute little hedgie has them!!!!
This card covers three challenges; I used the sketch from Truly Scrumptious Challenge 2 and as well as the sketch you had to make a button, the Cupcake Challenge 29 was to use a picture for inspiration and I used the colours and the flowers, and finally, Charisma Cardz Challenge 9 was to make a pretty card.
The penny black image is coloured with distress inks and it has been mounted on yellow card and a scalloped circle cut with my nesties. The papers are from my stash and I inked the edges of all the elements with spiced marmalade distress ink.
To make my button I cut a circle with my smallest nestie and I inked around the edges. I found a yellow die cut flower among a random box of die cut shapes and it fit exactly inside the circle.... how was that for a stroke of luck!!! I then punched two small holes, threaded a ribbon through them and tied it in a knot to finish it off. My other button is from PM and I threaded some ribbon through it to jazz it up a little! The sentiment is computer generated using the font tempus sans itc and a used a corner rounder to shape the end.
Supplies:
Card/Paper: White and yellow card, paper from stash
Stamp: Penny black - poppy fields
Colouring: Distress inks - peeled paint, vintage photo, walnut stain, broken china, spiced marmalade, tattered rose and worn lipstick.
Embellishments: PM button, ribbon, jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, water brush, sponge, corner rounder punch, small hole punch

Tag You're It Week 47
Just made it for this weeks Tag You're It Challenge where the theme is diamonds.... Mmm some of my favourite things!!!
This is just a really simple tag, which I have been meaning to do all week, but time just got away from me. I found a scrap of Dovecraft hint of pink paper as I was going through my scrap basket and I thought it would look quite nice with a few sparkly jewels decorating the flower (or what ever it is supposed to be!!).
The sentiment is computer generated using the font lucinda handwriting and the ribbon is attached using a MM pebble brad. It is all mounted on a base of black and metallic silver card stock. Thanks for looking x

Sugar Bowl Challenge 5
The Sugar Bowl Challenge 5 has a Christmas theme.... I never thought I'd be making Christmas cards in March!!! Never mind one down ..... but many more to go!!!!
I only have one sugar nellie stamped image that is Christmas themed and I have coloured her with distress inks. The papers are from dovecraft and I have inked all the edges with faded jeans distress ink.
I covered the snowflakes with something that looks like very large crystals of sugar, not sure what it is called but I will try to find out. It gives them a nice sparkle in real life, but unfortunately it doesn't show on the photo. I put the snowflakes over prima hydrangers and fixed them in place with silver brads.
Supplies:
Card/Paper: White, navy and metallic silver card, dovecraft - winter wonderland
Stamp - Sugar nellie
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, weathered wood, tattered rose, fired brick, peeled paint, broken china and a silver gel pen.
Embellishments: Primas, snowflakes, brads, jewels
Tools: Water brush, snowflake punch, corner rounder punch
