In the Garden

Hello everyone, today I have a card to show you featuring some new dies from Noor Design. I am entering my card into Tilda's Town Challenge 52, they have a theme of something old something new (old stamp, new dies).

I used the dies to create a scene and I experimented with a different style rather then my usual one! I used the bench and cut this out of kraft card stock, I then distressed it with vintage photo for a bit of definition. the grass die is also by Noor design and I used my copics to colour it in. Finally, the lamp post was cut out of white card and again, it was distressed with vintage photo ink. I used Summer Tilda from the Lazy Summer Days Collection 2009 and she is coloured with copics and my sentiment is from papermania.

For the inside I used the fence die, distressed it with vintage photo and added a bit of twine. I cut it out twice and I layered the bird and the bird box up with foam pads for a bit of dimension. On the other side I created a pocket and cut out and embossed two of the frame dies to make tags to write sentiments on.

A closer look at the fence.

...... and the pocket side!

And finally, an angled shot!

Stamps: Magnolia & Papermania

Cupcake Challenge 229

Hello everyone, today on Cupcake Challenge 229 it is my turn to choose the challenge and I created a sketch. This week we are sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads and she is giving us a $10 gift certificate as a prize. I am also entering this card into Tilda's Town Challenge 39 where the theme is anything goes.

A few weeks ago I posted some cupcake toppers that I made for a baby shower, well my sister also asked me to make an invitation to give to her firend who is expecting. She doesn't know if she is having a girl or a boy so I went with a pink and blue combo once again. I was looking through my stamps to find an appropriate image and I thought this Magnolia bunny was perfect. He is called Bog Hoppy from the Magnolia Hoppy Easter Collection 2010, he is coloured with copics and I used antique linen and vintage photo distress inks to distress the edges and I finished it off with some stitching. The DP is from Teresa Collins and each piece was distressed like the image and stitched. The die cuts are a Magnolia DooHickey and the sentiment was computer generated. I finished off with some ribbon, lace and pearls.

For the inside I created the wording on my computer, distressed it with inks and added a Magnolia postage stamp to the corners from the Magnolia With Love Collection 2013. The DP is from the same Teresa Collins pad and I finished off with some blue ribbon.

Cupcake Challenge 227

Hello everyone, today on Cupcake Challenge 227 we have a theme of "with bells on" and we would like to see bells of some sort on your card/project. This week we are sponsored by My Mum's Craft Shop and they are giving us a £10 gift voucher as a prize.

For my card today, I thought I'd make an early Christmas card and I used stamps from WMS Seasonal Remedies set. I stamped the image with memento rich cocoa ink and I distressed it with antique linen and vintage photo ink then I gave the same distress treatment to my background card and I repeatedly stamped my main image over again with antique linen to make my background.

I finished off with the usual stitching, some ribbon and a bell. This was very quick and easy to make but I really love the finished look, it also doesn't have a lot of layers either so hopefully it won't cost too much to post!!!

Supplies
Card/Paper: Ivory and red card
Stamps: WMS - Seasonal Remedies
Colouring: Distress inks - antique linen and vintage photo. Memento - rich cocoa
Embellishments: Ribbon, bell
Tools: Sewing machine
