Hello everyone, I hope you have all had a fabulous christmas and santa brought you all some lovely prezzies! Today I just have a quick post and I thought it would be fun to join in with Debby's favourite five
So here are my top five, in no particular order.......
I picked this one as I love the colour combo and I think these are my favourite christmas DPs this year.
I love the simplicity of these cards, I love how the poinsettia turned out and the general look of the cards....less is more in this case!
Again, the colour combo and one of my favourite Tildas....she is so versatile and can be used all year round.
This card has loads of bling in real life and I loved the way it turned out, its just unfortunate we don't have bling cam just yet!
Finally, I love this cute hanglar girl so she just had to feature in my top five. I love all the layers on this card too.... definitely not one for cheap postage!!
Well, that's it. Thanks for stopping by today and I will have my favourite five from 2010 next week. x

Cupcake Challenge 122
Hello everyone, today on Cupcake Challenge 122 we have a theme of thank you and this week we are sponsored by The Creative Cottage who are giving us a £10 gift voucher as a prize and Tickled Pink who are giving the lucky winner either the choice of two digis or one rubber stamp. I am also entering my card into this month's Quixotic Challenge where the theme is also thank you.
For my card I have used a WOJ stamp from the birdie love stamp kit and it is coloured with copics and highlighted with stickles. The DP is from papermania and the embossing was done with my divine swirl folder. I hand wrote the sentiment and finished off with some ribbon and jewels. This card was really quick and easy to make, but I'm not happy with it......I used a cream card base and therefore embossed cream card for the front and I'm not too sure about it! lol!
So, the other girls have done a great job as usual and provided some fabulous inspiration and also, don't forget our Cupcake Madness... this month we are sponsored by Wild Rose Studio and they are giving us a prize of two gorgeous stamps. All you have to do to enter is join in with at least two cupcake challenges this month and your name will be included in the draw.

CAS Poinsettia
Hello everyone, today I have a CAS card to show you that was really easy to make but looks really effective.....well I think so anyway! This month my fellow cupcakes have a challenge between us with a theme of "no image" so this card is perfect for the job!
For my card I used a Creatables Poinsettia die, for the card above I used the smaller die. I cut and embossed a shape out of red card and before I removed it from the die I sponged it with fired brick distress ink. I then removed it from the die and sponged the edges to add some definition. I repeated this again with red card and once with green card. When all of my shapes were cut I shaped them with a ball tool and I used liquid glue to stick them together. For the centre I used black card and I added a jewel to finish off.
The embossed background was done with my snowflake folder and the sentiment is computer generated. Finally, I stitched around the edge to finish off.
The final picture is of the two cards I made, the top one was made with the small die and the other one was made with the large die.
Supplies
Card/Paper: Red, green, black and white card
Ink: Distress inks - fired brick and peeled paint
Embellishments: Jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, creatables poinsettia die, snowflake folder, sewing machine, ball tool, TH ink applicator tool

Cupcake Challenge 119
Hello everyone, today on Cupcake Challenge 119 we have a theme of "Light it up" and we would like to see a candle somewhere on your card or project. This week we are sponsored by The Character Cafe and they are offering one lucky winner a $10 gift voucher as a prize. Apologies for the yellowish hue on my photo, the light was bad and the paper has a creamy/goldenish finish which didn't help!!
For my card I have used Willow with Lantern from Whiff of Joy.....love this stamp, I think she looks so elegant..... and I have coloured her with distress inks and added some sparkle with red stickles. The DP is from Fancy Pants and the ribbon, charm and jewels are from my stash.
Both the centre panel with the ribbon threaded through and the poinsettia have been created with creatables dies. For the poinsettia I used the smaller die in the pack and I cut and embossed two red shapes and one green one. Before I removed my shape from the die I sponged the red ones with fired brick distress ink and the green one with peeled paint to make the embossed elements really stand out. I then removed the shape from the die and I sponged around the edges. Finally I shaped them with a embossing ball tool, glued them together with a small blob of liquid glue and I added a golden jewel to the centre.
Also, don't forget our Cupcake Madness this month which is sponsored by Some Odd Girl, and make sure you check out the creations make by the other cupcakes....awesome!
Supplies
Card/Paper: Ivory and red card, Fancy Pants
Stamps: Willow with Lantern - WOJ, Sentiment - Studio G
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, vintage photo, antique linen, walnut stain, weathered wood, black soot, peeled paint, spiced marmalade, fired brick
Embellishments: Jewels, red stickles, ribbon, bell charm
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, creatables dies

For my card I have used Christmas Eve Tilda from the Magnolia So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe Collection 2009 and I have colored her with distress inks. I love this stamp as I love the way that it can be used all year round for a variety of different occassions..... so versatile!!! The background has been inked with antique linen and vintage photo and I have stamped the Old Valentine Letter from the Magnoia Valentine Collection 2009 in vintage photo ink too.
All the DPs are from Papermania and each one has been inked with antique linen and edged with walnut stain inks. The punched edge was done with an MS punch that was one of my new purchases from when we were in Florida and the ribbon and pearls are from my stash. The sentiment is from WOJ, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I punched out the little branches with my leone em punch.
Also as it is the start of a new month we have a new Cupcake Madness prize up for grabs and this month it is sponsored by Some Odd Girl. To be eligible for this prize all you need to do is enter at least two different Cupcake Challenges this month for your name to be aded to the draw.
