Cupcake Challenge 134
Hello everyone, over on Cupcake Challenge 134 we have a theme of monochromatic and this week we are lucky enough to have two fabulous sponsors; the first one is Prairie Fairy Designs who are giving us the prize of five images of the winners choice, and secondly Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn is giving us the prize of a £10 gift voucher and anyone who reads the cupcake challenge post is entitled to a 10% discount on any purchases made this week, all you have to do is quote the code: CUPCAKEBLOG at the checkout....fantastic!
I am also entering my card for the following challenges; Just Magnolia and Hanglar have a theme this week of favourite colour combo (a tough one as I love so many, especially pink, but you can't beat a classic black and white combo for any occassion!), this week's Papertake challnge has a theme of three - I have used three different magnolia stamps and three different patterned papers if you count my doily as one!
For my card I have used Secret Tilda from the Magnolia Merry Little Christmas Collection 2010 and she is coloured with copics and accented with silver stickles and a ranger inkssentials pen. The sentiment is one of the Magnolia minis and it is just the perfect size to pop on the side of an image, and the flourish is also from Magnolia but it is actually a long stamp for a border, but I just partially stamped it to get the effect I wanted.
My DP is from DCWV and the doily is from Create4fun. I used a spellbinders fancy tag to create my two white tabs, which also came from Create4fun. Finally, the ribbon and jewels are from my stash.

Birthday Wishes
Hello everyone, today I have am finally getting around to enter two challenges that I have wanted to join in with for a while, but never had the time to do it.... although I think I might have joined in with one of them before! The first one is Waltzingmouse Challenge 137 where I have used the sketch and the other one is Less is More Week 5 where the theme is pastel colours.
For my first card I layerd three layers of matt white card with the top layer being embossed with an embossing folder from craft concepts called cottage floral. I then used a stamp from the Waltzingmouse Victorian Frippery set and some lilac ink to create the background. The sentiment is also from Waltzingmouse but it is from the fancy phrases set and I finished off with a row of bling.
I mounted the sentiment onto my card with some foam pads for a bit of dimension. I really loved how this card turned out and I'm starting to get the hang of CAS cards....so much so I made another one!!!
This card is made in exactly the same way as the one above, except I stamped the background with sage ink and I had some matching sage ribbon in my stash.
One more image from another angle! I really loved making these cards and I hope to do a lot more in the future. They are so quick but yet so effective..... it takes me longer to figure out what to do than to actually do it!!
Supplies
Card/Paper: White matt card and paper
Stamps: Waltzingmouse - Victorian Frippery set and Fancy Phrases set
Ink: Lilac and sage
Embellishments: Jewels, ribbon
Tools: Cuttlebug, embossing folder - cottage floral

News
Hello everyone, I just thought I'd do a quick post and let you all know my news..... I'm getting married! As you all know I have started a wedding stationery business and Jeff's mum decided to pop along to a wedding show that was at their local shopping centre to see what was there and if she could pick up any pointers for me..... well, while she was there she decided to enter a competition and didn't she just go and win it!!! Turns out the prize is a wedding package worth £5,000 which she said was ours if we wanted it!!! We have been together for 5 years and would have got around to getting married eventually, but opportunities like this don't come around very often so we decided to go for it! We are getting married at the Hilton Hotel in Dundee on 1st October this year.... my head has been overflowing this week and although I have a few cards to post, I just haven't got around to it (or visiting your blogs either), so I will be back tomorrow with a card (hopefully!) Edit: I have added the link for the tutorial now!!!

I coloured the image with copics and added a little stickles to the background. The decorative edge was done using my Martha Stewart punch and the designer paper is MME Bloom and Grow. The ribbon and flowers were provided by Magnolia and I used my sewing machine to stitch around all the elements of the card.
This month there is a slight change to our monthly prize, it is simply going to be an extra chance for you to win! This month our icing on the cupcake is sponsored by Blue Jelly Stampin', Polkadoodles and The Paper Shelter...we have some totally fabby prizes so make sure you join in!

Cupcake Challenge 126
Hello everyone, sorry I'm a little late with this post! Today over on Cupcake Challenge 126 we have a theme of food for thought and this week we are sponsored by Heather Ellis and she is giving the lucky winner their choice of three digi images.
For my card I used Tilda with Ice Cream and the post strawberry sentiment from the Magnolia Lazy Summer Days Collection 2009. The image is colored with copics and the DPs and embellishments were included in a Magnolia DT kit from a while ago. I used my MS trellis punch for the punched edge and I stiched around all the elements with my sewing machine.

Made With Heart Blog Hop
Hello everyone, welcome to the Made with Heart valentine blog hop, I hope you are enjoying the hop so far!
You should have arrived here from Tabitha's Blog, but if not to start the hop from the beginning go to Kristin's Blog.
For my valentine themed card I used my favourite fold of the moment and made an easel card. I decided to go for a non traditional valentine colour scheme just to be a little different. My images and sentient are from Whiff of Joy and they are coloured with copics. The DP is from DCWV and it is all sparkly but unfortunately this doesn't show up too well in the photo. I finished off with some ribbon, a die cut flourish, a charm and some chrome look pearls.
Ok, so now you must be ready to move on...... your next stop on the hop is Jessi's Blog and I know she has something fabulous to show you.
In case you get lost along the way, here is a list of the blog hop order:
Kristin
Stacey
Nicki
Paula
Jenny
Nikki
Kimberly
Janneke
Tabitha
Liza (Me!)
Jessie
Joey
Emily
Patricia
Kate
Dee
Supplies
Card/Paper: Navy and white card, DCWV - At Home Stack
Stamps: WOJ - Melinda Hugging Heart and Melinda's heart
Colouring: Copics - E00, R20, E11, E53, E25, E29, B93, B95, B97, E51, E53, R27, R22, E31, E35, C1, C3, W1, W3, W5, W7, 0. Silver gel pen
